Due to the health concerns for those in our community, and at the urging of our state officials, our services will be online only until further notice.  

It has always been true that The Meeting House is not a set of walls in Carlisle or Dillsburg, but rather a community of believers that exists to help people find life by following Jesus. It is in that spirit that we encourage you to make your house a meeting house, that we become for this time that we are practicing social distancing to protect one another, The Meeting Houses.

Easter is in a couple weeks, and it looks like we will most likely stream our services on Easter Sunday. This is unfortunate as the Easter celebration as a gathered community is one of the highlights of my year. And that’s because on Easter we focus with clarity as to the reason for our faith in Jesus. Even though this year will look different, I still look forward to Easter Sunday with the same anticipation because we get to create new ways to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus!

No one could have guessed what we have experienced and are experiencing this week. While it’s uncertain what will transpire in the next couple weeks, I know that The Meeting House is a community built on the life found in Jesus and that kind of life is abundant.

This morning The Meeting House staff discussed ways that we can better engage as a community as we suspend meeting in person for an uncertain amount of time. We will continue to hold our services online on Sunday mornings, and also pledge to increase our communication with the TMH community throughout the week.

At the recommendation of Governor Tom Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Health church leadership and staff have made the decision to move services to ONLINE ONLY, this Sunday, March 15. We have chosen to not hold in-person services at this time. 

We will be broadcasting our livestream service from the Auditorium in TMH Carlisle at 9am on Sunday morning on both Facebook and Youtube.
