Parenting in an Unfamiliar World
Saturday, October 24, 2020, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Every generation of parents is training children up for a world they didn’t grow up in, and now, more than ever is that true. From technology to accessibility, from education to diseases, this world is different than the one you grew up in. Join this two-part conversation with Cindy King, speaker and author, to be encouraged and to learn tools and strategies to help you as you parent in an unfamiliar world.
This TMH Talk will be held at the Auditorium at TMH Carlisle and will also be streamed online on Saturday, Oct. 24 @ 9:30am and Monday, Nov. 2 @ 6:30pm. Each night will feature different content, the first a more traditional talk with Cindy King and the second will feature an opportunity for Q&A.
For those who register to attend in person, we ask that you follow the same guidelines that we follow during our Sunday services, which can be reviewed at tmh.church/regathering. For those who register to attend online, you will be sent a link on the evening of the talk which will allow you to join in!
Cindy King is a wife, mother, speaker, and writer. She is fueled by her love for Jesus, her desire to live a life of sacrifice modeled after Christ’s life on Earth, and ridiculous amounts of chai, ice cream, and laughter. Passionate about her family, foster care, adoption, supporting at-risk families, and creating trauma-informed spaces for struggling children, she speaks at retreats, conferences, and workshops. She found her voice through the joys and struggles of being mother to 9 children, 4 of whom came into the home through foster care and adoption. Cindy and her husband, John, live in Mechanicsburg with the children who have not yet “grown and flown” and always look forward to the moments when all of the children and spouses are back in town.
