About The Meeting House

The Meeting House is a vibrant and growing multisite church in south central Pennsylvania. Being historically vested, with over 100 years of history serving and loving the surrounding community, The Meeting House is also dissatisfied with the status quo and seeks to create worshipful environments where people who aren’t into church can find a home. Our mission is to help people find life by following Jesus

We are a casual, friendly faith community that offers three worship venues in two locations (Carlisle and Dillsburg, PA). The Carlisle campus features two large gathering spaces that offer services simultaneously: The Auditorium venue features a high-energy, modern worship experience and the Sanctuary is a beautiful venue that serves generations of Meeting House attenders by offering services featuring a blended worship experience including organ and orchestra-led hymns, as well as more contemporary selections led by a worship band. Similar in style to the Auditorium, the Dillsburg campus offers engaging worship in a context that draws many young professionals and families. The Lead Pastor delivers sermons that are live-streamed from the Auditorium venue to the other two venues.

About The Area

Carlisle is one of Pennsylvania’s most treasured historic communities. Located in picturesque south-central Pennsylvania, Carlisle’s history is rich. Strolling through historic downtown, one is greeted by unique architecture, quaint shops, and award-winning restaurants (seriously - our food is awesome). Our community is flavored by the presence of Dickinson College, Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University, and the U.S. Army War College known throughout the United States and abroad for their respective curriculum.

Carlisle’s cultural environment is a diverse mix typified by its downtown theater, historic sites, and multi-cultural events. Our location within the Cumberland Valley provides numerous recreational opportunities: biking, hiking, kayaking, hunting/fishing, boating, and snow skiing. We are a 2 to 3 hour drive from some of the largest and most culturally diverse cities in the U.S. — New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh. In 2010 Forbes named the Carlisle/Harrisburg area as the second best place to raise a family in the United States and in 2015 Livability.com ranked Carlisle as the 16th best small town in the U.S.
